Terms of Use

You must be 16 or older to use Bashmo. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

Your email address is your account; there is no password. You sign in with a link sent to your email, or with Google.

Anyone who can open your email can sign in as you, so keep it secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us through Contact if you think someone else has used it.

Bashmo is free to use: no card, no trial clock. If anything ever costs money, our home page will say so first.

We let you use Bashmo for your own interview practice. That permission is personal: you may not sell it, share it or use Bashmo for a business without asking us.

We may change, add or remove features, and may pause or stop Bashmo, at any time.

Your answers, your resume, the job descriptions you paste and everything Bashmo writes from them for you are yours.

So that Bashmo can work, you give us permission to store, copy and process that content, including with Bashmo’s AI model, to score your answers, write your questions, plan your practice and show them to you; and, if you tick the box for it, to show a sentence you write after an offer on our home page with your first name. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

Add only content you have the right to share. Don’t paste another person’s resume, answers or details without their consent.

How we handle your information is in our privacy policy.

Don’t use Bashmo to:

• break the law or anyone’s rights;
• harass, threaten or harm anyone;
• flood it with requests, get around its limits, or probe or break its security;
• scrape or copy its questions, guides or the coach’s output in bulk, or use them to build a competing product;
• upload malware or anything meant to disrupt Bashmo;
• pretend to be someone else.

Scores, questions and advice come from Bashmo’s AI model reading your words against a rubric. They are an aid to practice: not a judgment of you, not professional career, legal or financial advice, and not a guarantee of any interview, offer or outcome. Read them as a good coach’s opinion: useful, and sometimes wrong.

Bashmo’s questions, guides, scoring rubric, design and name belong to us. You may use them for your own practice; you may not copy, sell or republish them without our permission.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.

You can stop using Bashmo and delete your account at any time in Settings › Your data; the privacy policy says what that removes.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts Bashmo or other people at risk.

The parts of these terms that by their nature should last, such as the disclaimers and the limits of liability, still apply after your account ends.

Bashmo is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that Bashmo will be accurate, available without interruption, free of errors or fit for a particular purpose, or that it will help you get any job.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Bashmo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, job opportunities or goodwill, arising from your use of Bashmo or from these terms. Our total liability for all claims about Bashmo is limited to fifty US dollars (US$50).

Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

If you break these terms or the law while using Bashmo, and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree, to the extent the law allows, to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will post the new version here and update the date above. If you keep using Bashmo after that date, you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about these terms or Bashmo will be decided by the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the place where you live.

These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Bashmo. If any part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part right away, we haven’t given up the right to. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them if Bashmo is sold or merged.
